A new support plan for Class 9 students merely papers over the cracks in a failing education system.
FO Take · Score 31
Delhi’s latest scheme misses the point entirely. Remedial classes and counselling are cosmetic when the curriculum itself is the problem. Young people are not “dropping out” through failure, but opting out of irrelevance. Until we rethink what and how we teach, this carousel of intervention will continue, wasting resources and futures. Why do we insist on resuscitating a broken model instead of building a new one?
The strongest counter
Targeted support for struggling students is pragmatic. An alternative pathway offers crucial second chances. This is a compassionate, necessary safety net.
