Special education expands, but true integration remains a pipe dream.
Osh scales special needs services, yet systemic access barriers for autistic children persist despite council concerns.

Expanding special education services without dismantling institutional barriers is mere virtue signalling. True inclusion demands a complete overhaul of conventional schooling, not just more dedicated rooms. Until we redesign education for neurodiversity, these children will remain perpetually "special", never truly integrated. We must reject segregation, even well-intentioned. Does incremental expansion offer real equity?
Any expansion of special education is a step forward, providing crucial resources where none existed. Perfect solutions are impossible, but progress serves the immediate needs of vulnerable children and their families.
