Self-awareness questionnaire misses the point

New tool purports to measure "motivational awareness" in learning, but overlooks true drivers.

Self-awareness questionnaire misses the point
FO Take · Score 25

Another week, another attempt to quantify the unquantifiable. This “Motivational Awareness Questionnaire” offers a veneer of scientific rigour to what is fundamentally a deeply personal, often unconscious, drive. True motivation isn't measured by ticking boxes, but revealed through struggle and persistent effort. We don't need a survey; we need real challenges. Learning requires grit, not self-assessment. Quit navel-gazing. What will you *actually* learn today?

The strongest counter

Understanding one's motivations can be a powerful catalyst for learning, allowing individuals to align their efforts with intrinsic desires. Tools that foster this self-reflection are valuable.
