Context portability is a trap disguised as developer convenience
Syncing Claude Code across devices sounds like liberation. In reality, it chains engineers to agents indefinitely.
Agent Remote promises seamless context across hardware, but it merely tightens the tether. Enabling developers to steer Claude Code from their phone or secondary laptop turns deep work into ambient triage. If an autonomous agent cannot be trusted to run unattended, shuttling its state between screens does not fix the engineering bottleneck. It simply guarantees you never clock off. Are we supervising intelligent machines, or just letting them leash us to our terminals?
Developers work across laptops, desktops, and mobile interfaces. Preserving prompt context and terminal state across machines removes friction, saving hours of redundant setup and lost agent progress.
- ·Session syncing turns engineers into full-time, round-the-clock agent babysitters.
- ·Context continuity masks the real bottleneck: human cognitive overload from endless orchestration.
- ·True autonomy should eliminate device hopping entirely, not streamline it.
