Hardship is not a hindrance to genius

Sir M Visvesvaraya’s story proves that true learning flourishes not in comfort, but in relentless adversity. Stop whining.

Hardship is not a hindrance to genius
FO Take · Score 85

Visvesvaraya’s journey silences the flimsy excuses of modern learners. We have fetishised "access to education", while forgetting grit is the real differentiator. Stop coddling students with endless resources and start celebrating the struggle. True education is forged in fire, not handed out on a tablet. Are we raising a generation of resilient learners or fragile consumers?

The strongest counter

Romanticising poverty as a crucible for genius ignores systemic inequalities. Many with potential are crushed by lack of resources, not inspired by it. Opportunity should not be a lottery.
