Robots won't fix healthcare

Mildly gesticulating machines are a distraction from the systemic defunding plaguing our healthcare systems.

Robots won't fix healthcare
FO Take · Score 21

Robotic 'carers' with expressive eyebrows solve nothing. They are an absurd panacea, diverting attention from the chronic underinvestment and staff exploitation crippling our healthcare. We need more nurses, better pay, and robust public funding, not mechanical puppets. When will we stop dressing up PR stunts as genuine solutions?

The strongest counter

Automation alleviates staff burnout, optimising resource allocation and improving patient care. Every task a robot handles frees human staff for more complex, empathetic interactions.
