The sickening abuse in childcare exposes a systemic failure to protect the most vulnerable. We are failing our children.
FO Take · Score 10
The childcare sector’s prioritisation of profit over protection has led to this moral squalor. Self-regulation is a dead concept when children pay the ultimate price. We need radical oversight and accountability now, or this horror will undoubtedly repeat itself. How many more children must suffer before we act decisively?
The strongest counter
Isolated incidents, while horrific, do not indict an entire sector. The vast majority of childcare workers are dedicated professionals. Increased vetting and support, not blanket condemnation, is the proportionate response.
