The Great Resignation was hailed as a workers’ uprising, a fundamental shift in power dynamics. Rubbish. It was a mass delusion, employers simply backfilling roles with marginally different bodies. Real power never left the boardroom, only the naive believed otherwise. We fetishise individual choice, ignoring systemic constraints. This was a grand theatre, not a revolution. Demand better, or stay complicit.
