Social learning initiatives combat isolation, proving old dogs can absolutely learn new tricks.

Loneliness Cure: Clubbing for the Chronologically Gifted
FO Take · Score 35

Another week, another platitude about "combating loneliness" with structured activities. This isn't innovation, it's institutionalised babysitting. True connection isn't prescribed, it's discovered through shared vulnerability, not curated crafts. We must cease infantilising the elderly. Are we truly solving isolation, or just managing it until the next scheduled gathering?

The strongest counter

Any effort to bring people together is commendable. Building communities, regardless of format, provides vital support and purpose for those often overlooked.
