Punjab’s Exam Debacle
Six exam leaks expose a broken assessment system. The Education Minister faces calls for resignation amid widespread student distress.

Another week, another scandal. Cheating is a symptom, not the disease. These leaks expose a system that prioritises rote learning and high-stakes testing over genuine understanding. Standardised exams are an anachronism, producing nothing but anxiety and a booming black market for answers. When will we abandon this charade and embrace authentic assessment? Our children deserve better than this performance theatre.
Leaks are unfortunate, but isolated incidents. The Minister's resignation won't fix systemic issues. Focus on better security and swift justice for perpetrators, not a wholesale dismantling of vital evaluation methods.
