Education
Interprofessional learning is a pipe dream in an individualistic academic system.

The push for interprofessional education is admirable, yet ultimately futile. Academia, by design, champions specialisation and individual achievement, not collaborative pedagogy. Institutions are structurally incapable of fostering genuine cross-disciplinary learning when departmental silos and funding models reinforce insularity. Until the very foundations of higher education are dismantled, this remains a well-intentioned, but naive, fantasy. Why do we pretend existing structures can deliver new paradigms?
Interprofessional education is vital for complex global challenges. It prepares students for real-world collaboration, fostering holistic problem-solving skills beyond narrow specialisms. Its integration is a necessary evolution, not a pipe dream.
