Inclusive classrooms hinge on teacher confidence, not just policy
Teacher self-efficacy, not mandates, dictates the success of autism inclusion. Without belief, strategies fail.
FO Take · Score 85
Inclusive education is a hollow promise without empowering educators. This study confirms what we’ve always known: confidence drives competence. Mandates mean little when teachers lack the conviction to implement them effectively. Until we properly invest in developing genuine teacher self-efficacy for diverse needs, inclusion remains an aspirational buzzword, not a lived reality. Why do we keep asking teachers to do more with less belief?
The strongest counter
Focusing solely on teacher self-efficacy overlooks systemic barriers. Funding, resources, and reduced class sizes are paramount. Belief alone cannot overcome inadequate support.
