Online PE damages a child’s development and fails to instill lifelong habits. Get them on the field, not on the screen.
FO Take · Score 10
Online PE is a pedagogical travesty, reducing vital physical development to a series of glorified stretches in front of a webcam. It's a flimsy substitute for genuine athletic engagement, fostering disengagement rather than discipline. We are cultivating a generation of sedentary screen-addicts under the guise of education. Will we ever prioritise true well-being over digital convenience.
The strongest counter
While not ideal, online PE offers flexibility and accessibility for many, especially those in remote areas or with specific needs. It can still promote basic fitness and act as a gateway to more active pursuits.
