Obsessing over hybrid schedules misses the point: the office lost its monopoly on connection long ago.

RTO: A Futile Fascination
FO Take · Score 10

The RTO debate is a sideshow, a management-led delusion that physical proximity guarantees productivity or connection. We should be dismantling outdated structures, not clinging to them. The office, as a daily obligation, is dead. When will leaders accept this obvious truth and move on?

The strongest counter

Some believe the office remains crucial for organic collaboration, spontaneous idea generation, and fostering a strong company culture.
