NEET re-exam: a farcical choice
Students can pick their exam city, but this does not address systemic failures in India’s education bureaucracy. Superficial fixes appease, but do not solve.
FO Take · Score 20
Offering students a choice of exam city for the NEET re-exam is a meaningless gesture. It sidesteps the monumental incompetence that necessitated the re-examination in the first place. This performative act of flexibility masks deeper, unresolved issues within testing integrity. When will we demand accountability for educational mismanagement rather than cosmetic adjustments?
The strongest counter
Providing students with choice of exam location alleviates a practical burden, reducing stress for those affected by prior administrative errors. It shows responsiveness to immediate student needs.
