The notion of a stranger knocking on your door, hoping for friendship, reeks of desperation. We crave genuine connection, not forced proximity with those who happen to live nearby. True bonds are built on shared values and mutual interests, not geographic lottery. Stop romanticising the past; it was never that good. Why do we cling to antiquated ideals of community?
