The 24/7 work mentality is eroding personal time, increasing stress, and revealing a deep flaw in corporate leadership.

Always-on work culture is a management failure
FO Take · Score 20

The incessant encroachment of work into personal lives isn't a worker problem; it's a leadership vacuum. European businesses are failing to implement effective boundaries, instead fostering an always-on culture that masquerades as dedication. This isn't efficiency; it’s exploitation. When will leaders realise that a rested workforce is a productive one, not one constantly tethered to the inbox?

The strongest counter

Workers should proactively set boundaries. It is their responsibility to manage work-life balance through clear communication and self-discipline, not solely rely on employer-imposed limits.
