Friends are essential, not optional

Therapists are stating the bleedin’ obvious: adults need friends for their mental and physical health. What took them so long?

Friends are essential, not optional
FO Take · Score 75

Of course we need friends. This isn't news, it's basic human biology. The modern world alienates us, making genuine connection seem a luxury. It is not. Prioritise your tribe or perish a lonely husk. Are you truly living if you're doing it alone?

The strongest counter

Friendship is lovely, but career and family often take precedence. It’s a nice-to-have, not a must-have. We can thrive without a huge social circle.
