WFH is a sham if time autonomy isn’t part of the package
Remote work without flexible hours is merely a change of scenery, not a true liberation from corporate rigidity. Companies are missing the point.

The charade of "flexible" working from home without genuine time autonomy is a management failure. Businesses have fetishised location over true empowerment, trapping staff in digital commutes and extended hours. This isn't progress, it's just a new flavour of surveillance, proving employers still don't trust their people. If you’re not controlling your schedule, you’re not truly remote.
Some structure is necessary for team cohesion and project deadlines, even in remote settings. Complete time autonomy can lead to disorganisation and missed communication, impacting overall productivity and collaboration within a distributed team.
- ·Remote work needs time freedom
- ·Location not true flexibility
- ·Digital surveillance persists
