Fukuyama was wrong: the end of history did not result in the end of human suffering. Social prescribing won't fix mental health, either.

The medicalisation of loneliness is a fool's errand. Connection is complex, nuanced, and deeply personal; it cannot be prescribed like a pill. To suggest otherwise is to trivialise genuine suffering and overlook systemic failures. We need genuine community, not curated social interaction. What exactly are we trying to cure?
The strongest counter
Social prescribing offers a holistic approach, addressing root causes of distress. Any effort to combat isolation is worthwhile, even if imperfect.
