Remote collaboration is a myth

Online tools don't foster true collaboration; they merely digitise existing inefficiencies, hindering genuine co-creation and innovation.

Remote collaboration is a myth
FO Take · Score 21

The charade of seamless online collaboration persists, despite overwhelming evidence of its debilitating effect on genuine innovation. Digital whiteboards and video calls are poor substitutes for the serendipity of shared physical space. We are sacrificing meaningful connection for performative digital presence. The strongest counter

Online collaboration tools, while imperfect, are essential for distributed teams. They enable global talent pools and offer flexibility previously unattainable. Problems often stem from poor implementation, not the tools themselves.
